You just have to LOVE a Value Added Product!! A Value Added Product is one that starts off as being something that you consider a staple or a must have on hand type of thing. Next, the Value Added Product MUST be at a good price point! The price point should be one that you immediately know can not be beat for the contents and Value. Finally, A Value Added Product should add Value to your home or something in your life. You should clearly know that buying this “thing” added more value to something.
One of my favorite Value Added Products is a 5lb bag of Frozen French Green Beans from Costco. Yes, my Costco membership if a Value Added Product but that is another discussion.
1. Frozen vegetables are such a Value Added essential for healthy eating!!
Green beans are also a common veggie favorite with all ages so why not just keep the favorites on hand.
2.This 5lb bag of frozen green beans is less than $6 year around at the Costco in my area! Based on the season and where you live, fresh green beans can cost anywhere from $.99 to $2.99 per pound
3. This product cooks up so quick and so easy!!! Maybe it’s because the French green beans are smaller than the beans that I typically buy in the store, or maybe they are blanched before they are frozen. Either way, whether you cook in them in a skillet or roast them in the oven (our favorite) they can be ready in less than 20 minutes depending on how “done” you want them. This is the feature that truly adds Value to my meal preparation and dinner table! Easy, quick, nutritious and tasty!!
In case you are a novice to roasting veggies , here is the quick and easy! Simply coat your veggies with 2-3 tbs of oil, a light dusting of salt and pepper and back at 425 for about 25 minutes. I recommend tossing them around after 10 minutes.
Here’s to finding more Value in everything that you do!! Until next time!
